SANTA MONICA, Los Angeles County — November 2026. City and district voters weighed Measure TT, a hotel-tax amendment focused on major-event periods and certain longer corporate-funded lodging stays. The latest published ABC7 results show Yes ahead. The contest is still unofficial.
Ballot count
Yes: 20,013 (72.85%). No: 7,460 (27.15%). The Yes advantage is 12,553 votes in this snapshot.
What Measure TT would do
The ballot proposal would permit major-event periods and adjustments to how the existing transient occupancy tax applies to some corporate-obtained stays longer than 30 days. It is not a general new tax on every resident or a reduction in housing tenant protections. The city’s parcel-tax and tenant-rights measures are separate ballot questions.
Can the outcome change?
Yes. This report uses the ABC7 live November 2026 local election tally retrieved on November 5 (UTC). The provider shows a relative time since updating its table, but the exact timestamp of the county vote batch for this measure has not been independently confirmed. All eligible votes must be canvassed before certification, and a media lead is not the final legal outcome. The county’s official schedule provides further updates on November 5 and 6 and plans certification on November 27.
